Dialup Update - Windows 98

This tutorial will show you how to update your dialup access number and your username, according to your operating system.

AS OF SEPTEMBER 21, 2007, EARTHNET WILL BE USING THE FULL EARTHNET EMAIL ADDRESS FOR THE USERNAME.

For example, if your username used to be joe123 on your dialup screen,
you will have to use joe123@earthnet.net from now on.

YOUR PASSWORD WILL NOT CHANGE.

Also, you will need to update your dialup access phone number.

New numbers can be found here.

You are welcome to use ANY of these numbers. Of course, you should use a local phone number, so as not to pay for a long distance call.

2 - Double-click on your Earthnet dialup icon as usual, or launch your email program or your web browser. You will see the familiar dialup screen as follows:

3 - Add @earthnet.net to your username, and remove the phone number you see in the 'Phone number' box, and replace it with the new phone number that you found and made a not of during step 1.

4 - Click the Connect button.

That's all there is to it! Next time you connect to the internet, your computer will have remembered your new username and the new phone number.
