1st Annual Giant Kite Battle!

Giant Kite Battle

The Continuation of an Ancient Japanese Tradition The Beginning of a New Denver Tradition

For two days, dozens of 6-foot by 8-foot kites with emblazoned logos will be flown by teams competing in the First Annual OSOW Giant Kite Festival. Flown by teams from Denver comapnies and organizations, teams will slice through their competitors' lines, cutting them out of the sky, competing to survive and remain aloft.

Modeled upon the ancient Asian traditions of community kiting events and rooted in Japan's many late-spring kite festivals and giant kite competitions, the Colorado Giant Kite Battle and Festival will be a family and community oriented event sure to grow in popularity and esteem in Denver and around the U.S.
